ewantindall wins big in Monte Carlo

21
May

There might not have been the traditional post Rallye Monte-Carlo party in Stars ‘n’ Bars, but had there been then ewantindall would have cause to celebrate more than most after scoring another fantastic victory in the ‘Protyre Asphalt’ eSports tournament.

For the second event in a row, ewantindall set the fastest time on all of the stages to record a great win – and extend his lead to 12 points at the top of the Protyre Motorsports UK Asphalt Rally Championship eSports game leaderboard.

But he was chased all the way in Monaco by the winner of Round 1, NickyL555 – leaving the battle for the DiRT Rally 2.0 based tournament title very close indeed, with just two rounds remaining.

The Citroën C4 Rally was the 2-litre World Rally Car of choice last week in the south of France, with nine of them finishing in the top 10.

This week historic rear-wheel drive cars - Ford Escort Mk2, Fiat 131 Abarth, Opel Kadett GTE and Renault Alpine A110 – will be in action.

Round 4 has automatically started, with competitors having until 4pm next Monday (25 May) to complete six Rally Spain stages.

Good luck everyone – and stay safe!
