You can’t miss that duck yellow Peugeot!

In the ‘rally cars that stand out’ category, there is one car that’s best to view with sunglasses on – and that’s Adrian Drury’s bright duck yellow Peugeot 106 GTi.

It might not be the most powerful car in the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, but it’s the brightest and you’d be hard pushed to fine one that’s driven more on the limit.

A couple of broken driveshafts saw Adrian and co-driver Cat Lund just miss out on the B10 class title last year – but they’ll return in 2020 for another crack at the series.

Adrian’s rallying programme is sponsored by his own business, A J Drury Deliveries. He runs a small fleet of 3.5 ton flat-bed trucks providing a national delivery service, mostly for the engineering industry. Drury Deliveries is based in Stanley, Derbyshire, in an old bus garage that is also run as a vehicle repair service to cars and light commercials. It’s called Black Cat Garage, because the bus company was called Felix Buses and they had a black cat as their logo, which is still familiar to locals today.

At the start of every event Cat will ask Adrian, “Are you ready?” and the answer is always the same - “Born ready!” With such a positive attitude, you don’t need to ask if they’re ready for the start of the 2020 season!
