14 Protyre staff embarked on an epic charity cycling challenge to cover 450 miles from Dumfries to Ashford on July 1st. The event is being held to support Ben Automotive Charity.
 
Starting at Dentons Tyres – Team Protyre in Dumfries the team challenge themselves to get to Ashford over 5 days.

• Day One, Leg One: Dentons Tyres - Team Protyre, Dumfries to Dentons Tyres - Team Protyre, Carlisle 36.4miles

• Day One, Leg Two: Dentons Tyres – Team Protyre, Carlisle to Kendal 46.8 miles

• Day Two, Leg One: Kendal to Protyre Preston (48.5 Mile)

• Day Two, Leg Two: Protyre Preston to Wilmslow Performance Tyres- Team Protyre (44.6 miles Total 93.1)

• Day Three, Leg One: Wilmslow Performance Tyres- Team Protyre to Stafford Tyres - Team Protyre (43.1Miles)

• Day Three, Leg Two: Stafford Tyres - Team Protyre to Protyre Warwick (55.1 Miles total 98.1Miles) Day Four: Leg One Protyre Warwick to Kipling Motorist Centre - Team Protyre, Milton Keynes (49.3 miles)

• Day Four, Leg Two: Kipling Motorist Centre - Team Protyre, Milton Keynes to Premier inn Edgeware North (42.2 miles)

• Day Five: Tyreweb Service Centre - Team Protyre, Ashford - Total Mileage 71.9 Miles (total 474.3)

Ben was founded in 1905 by A J Wilson while he was working for Dunlop tyres. The fund’s original aims were to provide help to people who fell on hard times (there was no welfare system until after WWII) by handing out grants via a network of local offices.
