Rallying brothers Paul and Julian Doroszczuk will contest the 2020 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship and will be one of the leading contenders for both the B11 class and new Ford Escort Challenge titles.
 
They are ardent supporters of Britain’s premier sealed-surface rally series, contesting the full calendar every year since 2012 – except in 2017, when Julian was side-lined with a shoulder injury. They bounced back in style, becoming class B11 champions in 2018.
 
For this year, their immaculately self-prepared Drockspeed Motorsport Ford Escort Mk2 has been fitted with a Ric Wood Motorsport Engines rebuilt normally-aspirated Cosworth engine, which produces a mighty 301bhp at a rev-limited 9000rpm.
 
“Drookspeed Motorsport has been ardent supporters of the Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship since 2012…and during this period we have become accustomed to fantastic stages and outstanding events across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom,” says Paul.
 
“We have been fortunate to have experienced success across every step of the podium, but what keeps us coming back year after year is the excitement of competing on new events and stages, and the deep satisfaction gained by taming world famous stages like those on the Isle of Man.
 
“The Championship has gone from strength to strength in the last two years and Jane Evans, [Championship Co-ordinator] and the rest of her organising team have come up trumps again with the list of events proposed for the 2020 Championship. With the inclusion of four new closed road events, including the return of the Jim Clark Rally after its enforced lay-off, this year’s Championship looks like being one of the most challenging and well supported in recent years.”
