Apr

On April 24th Oxford were celebrating their prized apprentices at the 2nd annual Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards at the luxurious Blenheim Palace. We were there with our own Kayleigh Clark, Apprentice Technician, from Protyre Faringdon supported by Area Manager Rob Gardner.

Kayleigh was in the running for a ‘Special Recognition Award’ (sponsored by The Apprenticeship & Training Company). This Award is for an Apprentice who has achieved in overcoming significant challenges or barriers to learning or work.

To our delight Kayleigh was presented with a highly Commended award!

Kayleigh uses her knowledge and skills to carry out a variety of roles at our Protyre Faringdon garage. Her continued hard work has been rewarded with the opportunity to work overseas in the Motorsport division alongside the Michelin and Pirelli racing teams. Kayleigh is a care leaver (a person aged 25 or under, who has been looked after by a local authority for at least 13 weeks since the age of 14) and has faced issues with mental health, but refuses to let her childhood affect her future. She has a bright and promising future ahead of her with team Protyre and we look forward to seeing what she'll do next!!

Well done Kayleigh from all of us at Protyre and keep up the good work!
