TyreSafe have launched their campaign for this year’s Tyre Safety Month – “Are your tyres ready for ACTion?” At Protyre, we are proud to support the October-long initiative that promotes the importance of proper tyre care to the 33.6 million drivers on UK roads.
 
The 2020 campaign combines TyreSafe’s well-known acronym A.C.T. with references to blockbuster films and characters in a bid to drive home the message for motorists to check the Air pressure, Condition, and Tread of their tyres at least once a month, and especially before long journeys.
 
In a world still dominated by concerns over the spread of COVID-19, tyre safety may not be at the forefront of people’s minds. Are your tyres ready for ACTion sees titles such as ‘The Good, The Bad, and the Underinflated’, ‘Done in 60 Seconds’, and ‘Judge Tread’ showcasing proper tyre care and the benefits of tyre maintenance.

According to research carried out by TyreSafe, approximately one in five drivers have never checked their tyres for signs of damage or wear, despite the fact that any driver found to have unsafe tyres could face a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre.
