Winter driving evening in aid of Naomi House
By Gareth Vrac
Our Micheldever centre will team up with global tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, for a winter driving awareness evening, which will also raise money for Naomi House & Jacksplace.
The event, on Tuesday 8th November at Micheldever Station, near Winchester, will be an opportunity for everyone attending to not only receive advice and information about driving during the winter months and the challenges of controlling a vehicle in cold and wet conditions, but also to get a free and professional car check to make sure it’s winter ready.
During the evening, which runs from 6pm to 9pm, there will be a raffle, as well as a collection, with all money raised donated to Naomi House & Jacksplace. The charity provides hospice care to life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families.
The centre’s manager, Chris Perry, said: “It’s going to be fun and informal evening but with a serious message behind it, which is it’s crucial for your safety, and the safety of other road users, that you get your vehicle winter ready before the cold weather sets in.
“We’re also delighted to be raising money for Naomi House & Jacksplace. Micheldever has supported for the charity for more than 20 years and has raised over £25,000 for it to date.”
Anyone wishing to attend the event should register via http://www.micheldever.co.uk/vehiclecheck or by calling 01962 388264.
