Our Micheldever centre, supported by global tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, hosted a winter driving awareness evening which has raised over £100 for Naomi House & Jacksplace.

The event, on Tuesday 8th November at Micheldever Station, near Winchester, was attended by 20 members of the public, who received advice and information from Pirelli’s technical expert, Dan Nythan, about driving during the winter months, as well as guidance about tyres and tyre safety. Attendees were also offered professional and comprehensive free vehicle checks to make sure their cars are ready for winter weather conditions.

Raffles ticket sales and donations led to £105 being raised for Naomi House & Jacksplace, which provides hospice care to life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families.

The centre’s manager, Chris Perry, said: “It was a really enjoyable evening. Not only did we raise money for the charity, but we also got to inform and educate people about winter driving and the potential hazards they could face. We offered free car checks to everyone who came down to the event to ensure they are safe this winter.”

“If anyone is unsure about their vehicle’s condition then we’re happy to check it for free and without any obligation.”
