Protyre and the electrifying world of Formula E

Hi and welcome to our second Motorsport blog post.
As you know for the first post, Protyre has a long and proud involvement with motor racing, from the Porsche Carrera Cup to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, but being the official global tyre fitting partner of Formula E is quite simply an incredible experience.
We’re now four races into the 2015/16 season and it’s already been an incredible experience. The next race will take place in Mexico City this Saturday, 12th March.
This is the second season for Formula E, and it has become a high profile, global sport viewed by millions – the last race of the inaugural 2014/15 season in London was watched by 1.2 million people in the UK alone! That means the pressure is on for us to deliver a great quality service for every driver at every race.
We’re responsible for co-ordinating the logistics and trackside assistance to all teams throughout the season. This is a massive and important role. But here’s the thing – the guys who travel the world as part of the Formula E family are the same guys who work in your local centre.
There are now 89 Protyre centres, which are staffed by highly skilled technicians. Any one of them could be trained up to join our Formula E team.
So if Michelin and Formula E can trust our expertise and skills to work on some of the most technologically advanced racing cars in the world, then you can guarantee your car will be in very good hands too. Now bring on this weekend’s race!
