The pictured £225,000 piece of automotive artistry rolled into Micheldever Tyres & Auto – Team Protyre this afternoon to the delight of the staff.

The Gumpert Apollo S is produced by German car manufacturer group Apollo Automobil GmbH. Marketed as a race ready and street legal sports car, the model was designed to be a new generation of sports car.

This Apollo is the actual car that back in July 2008 beat the Bugatti Veyron and the Pagani Zonda around the Top Gear test track with a lap time of 1:17.1 making it at the time the leader on the Top Gear ‘Power Lap Board’ 0.2 seconds faster than the former lap leader, the Ascari A10.

It was later beaten with a time of 01:16.8 by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
