If you’re unfamiliar with the series, the Porsche Carrera Cup is at the top of British motor racing and a firm favourite amongst motorsport enthusiasts. The cars are identical 911 GT3 Cup cars, so winning is down to the skills of the driver and his team.

Cammish, from Redline Racing, holds a 3 point lead over Zamparelli, of the GT Marques team. But Zamparelli was in great form at the most recent race weekend at Croft (17-19 June), when he won both rounds. More crucially, Zamparelli was about to put an end to Cammish’s five race winning streak.

This means the championship is on a knife-edge. While the momentum is currently with Zamparelli, Cammish will be pushing hard to extend his lead and claim the title.
