Supporting Local Schools
By Gareth Vrac
Our Protyre Plymouth branch donated a voucher for an interim service and MOT to the value of £150 to local school Erme Primary in Ivybridge for their annual Summer Fair on the 21 June. Friends of the Erme Primary School (FOTEPS) are a registered charity raising money to advance the education of the children within the school and the community who use the school facilities. The Primary School itself is the oldest of the schools in Ivybridge having been built in 1856 and extended in 2005.
PTA Chair Kay Winstone told us: ‘We had an amazing fair and raised a whopping £116 which for our little school is a huge amount so firstly thank you. I think it was purely down to your prize with so many parents buying tickets this time around’
The lucky lady who won the prize (pictured above) is Sally Ann Palmer. When she finally calmed down from screaming with joy they could capture the photo for us!
