Continental has become the first manufacturer to win summer, winter and all-season tyre tests in a single year from the UK's No1 selling weekly car magazine, Auto Express. The AllSeasonContact has just made its UK test debut, surpassing rivals to take the top spot in the Auto Express all-season tyre test.

Tyres were put through a series of tests ranging from snow handling to performance in wet and dry conditions. Year on year, the Auto Express all-season test offers consumers a thorough overview of the market, helping tyre buyers make informed decisions for the safest and most assured tyres on sale.

Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of Auto Express, said:
“Just a quick look at the results is enough to show which was the dominant tyre in this test. No matter what the surface, the AllSeasonContact was on the podium. Continental may have come late to the all-season party, but it has made a winning entrance. A great test debut that shows how an all-season tyre should perform.”

The AllSeasonContact, Continental’s first all-season tyre for Europe, is ideally suited to the UK’s milder winter climate. Taking into consideration the different tyre characteristics needed for varying weather conditions, the AllSeasonContact has combined elements of both Continental’s premium summer and winter tyres to create the ideal tyre for all year round use.

Continuing the superior grip found on all Continental tyres, the AllSeasonContact features similar technology to that found in the equally award winning WinterContact TS 860, providing strong grip on snow-covered roads. Performance also perfectly compliments Continental’s commitment to VisionZero, where road accidents become a thing of the past.

The tread design of the AllSeasonContact combines the effective aquaplaning characteristics of Continental’s Winter tyres with the precision handling and short braking distances in dry conditions of their summer tyres - an essential requirement for tyres used all year round.

The AllSeasonContact is available in 46 sizes in the UK for 14 – 20-inch rims. The AllSeasonContact scores a B rating for both wet grip and rolling resistance and 72dB on the EU Tyre Label.

Tracey Mortimer, Marketing Director at Continental said;
“We are thrilled that the AllSeasonContact has taken the top spot in the latest Auto Express tyre test. Our unrivalled test performance year on year demonstrates Continental’s commitment to providing the safest choice no matter the weather conditions or season. This latest victory is a significant endorsement for our brand, offering consumers total confidence in our tyres across all seasons.”
