BMW 1 Series Tyres

The BMW 1 Series is a range of executive subcompact cars which have been built by BMW since 2004. The series is the successor to the 3 Series Compact and since 2011 has been in its second generation.

The first generation came in hatchback, coupé and convertible styles, but since the creation of the second generation, both the coupé and convertible have been marketed as the 2 Series. The majority of 1 Series models are rear-wheel driven, with the exception of the F52 saloon, and some models have a four-wheel drive option.

The second generation released in 2011 is made up of the F20/F21 range of cars. They come in 3-door hatchback and 5-door hatchback models. Initially powered by either four-cylinder diesel, four-cylinder petrol or six-cylinder petrol engines, in 2015 a further three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines were added to the range.

The F20/F21 uses an aluminium multi-link suspension and comes with LED headlights, digital radio and satellite navigation with an 8.8-inch screen. The trims come in either Sport Line, Urban Line or M-Sport Line and differ by alloy wheels and other appearance-related features.

In 2015 the F20/F21 underwent a facelift and the LCI began production the following year. Changes included revised bumpers, tail lights and LED directional headlights.

The 1 Series has won a number of awards including the 2011 Sport Auto magazine winner of best compact car under £50,000. In 2017 the car was also the winner of the What Car? Best hot hatch over £25,000.
