Mini Service

Servicing is an important aspect of car ownership, helping to ensure that your car remains safe and reliable. Regular servicing gives professional mechanics the opportunity to spot and address issues before they become serious.

New cars, servicing, and warranties

When you buy a new car, the manufacturer will provide you with warranty requirements as to how often you will need to have your car serviced. If you do not adhere to this, you may risk invalidating your warranty.

Selling and the importance of a service history

When you decide to sell your car, it is important to have a comprehensive service record to pass on to the next owner. Indeed, many people - and garages - will only buy a car that has one.

About Mini

In August 1959, the British Motor Corporation (BMC) revealed a revolutionary compact car - the Mini. Nobody knew at the time that it would go on to be one of Britain's best loved cars. Its popularity has been mostly due to its compact size, relatively low price, and reliability. Mini is now owned by BMW.

When it comes to servicing, the Mini models that are seen most often at Protyre garages are the Cooper, the Clubman, the Paceman, and the Countryman. A Mini Cooper service is one of the most common requests across our network.

Protyre Servicing

At Protyre, we offer three options when it comes to car servicing: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The Mini service cost will depend on which package you opt for.

Our Bronze service is an ideal option for Mini owners who cover a lot of miles, and for those who want their car to benefit from a quick check-up. This service involves a 27-point check, which includes a tyre inspection, inspection of the engine, an oil filter change, top-up of antifreeze, windscreen wash and brake fluid (as required), inspection of the battery charge and terminals, steering check, windscreen inspection, brake pad inspection, and more.

Our Silver option is essentially an 'interim' service and we recommend that this should be carried out every six months or 6,000 miles. The Silver service covers everything in the Bronze, in addition to 21 further elements that include checks on lights, wheels, suspension, seatbelts, battery, TPMS valves, and more. This is an excellent option for Mini drivers who need a comprehensive service to give them peace of mind.

Our Gold service is a comprehensive checkup that is popular as a regular 'annual' service option or for Mini drivers who have bought a new car that may not have had a recent service. This service consists of everything that is covered in the Silver service plus an additional 11 elements, including inspection of the radiator, clutch and spark plugs, topping up the transmission/gearbox fluid (as needed), and renewal/replacement of the air filter and pollen filter.

Any parts that are fitted during a Protyre service are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever is sooner). All services also include a road test and log-book stamp.
