Fundraising for Cash for Kids charity
By Gareth Vrac
A family fun day, organised by our Swansea centre, has raised £400 for Cash for Kids, a charity that supports local disabled and disadvantaged children.
Harris Brothers, on Ystrad Road, hosted the Big Family Fun Day, which included face painting, live music, balloon artists, a bouncy castle, hot food, and ice cream. The centre also offered free vehicle safety checks.
Centre manager Rob Trott, said: “We've been involved with Cash For Kids for many years. As an established local business we have a strong connection with this area, so it's really important to us that we support the community we service. Cash for Kids does an amazing job to help underprivileged children across this area and we’re proud to do our bit.
“We also really appreciate the support from local families, as well as BoothnationUK, Goodyear, Pirelli, Continental, Dancerama, Company J Dance, who all made the day such a success.”
Cash for Kids is a network of local charities. Operating across 21 areas in the UK, each charity raises money from within its local communities to support disabled and disadvantaged children aged from 0 to 18 years. This includes grants from buying specialist equipment for children to enhance their quality of life, or donations to local charities and organisations to help them undertake projects and new initiatives.
