Bracknell Resident Enjoys Trip Of A Lifetime Thanks To Michelin & Protyre

“Minus 23 degrees – that’s apparently warm for Lapland!” The words of a man from Bracknell who’s recently returned home after winning the trip of a lifetime to Santa Claus’ stomping ground.

Aaron Denton, 33, won the trip through a national competition run by Protyre, the UK’s largest chain of independent mechanical centres and tyre manufacturer Michelin, which was designed to reward the dedication of long-standing customers.

Aaron, from Bracknell Forest, took his fiancée on the four-day holiday; “I was over the moon to win this competition. It’s not your average holiday and it was pretty special to travel over 2,300 miles to visit Lapland and stay in an amazing ice hotel.

“We absolutely fell in love with the Husky sleigh ride, but made sure to wrap up really warm for it as it gets extremely chilly out there. The Husky staff actually told us the temperature was between -16˚C and -23˚C, which was quite mild for the time of year!”

Simon Hiorns, retail director at Protyre, said: “We’re delighted to have been part of this competition and to have been able to reward our customers with such a fantastic break to Lapland.

“We pride ourselves on the experience, service and value our customers receive and being part of this competition has enabled us to continue delivering our customers the best service in the industry.”

John Spinks, key account manager for Protyre at Michelin, said: “At Michelin we work with lots of different tyre retailers every day and understand how hard they work. Running competitions such as this provides a great way for us to help them support their loyal customers.

“We’re thrilled that through Protyre we’ve been able to reward Aaron with something that’s special and we’re glad to hear he had such an enjoyable break!”
