The Honda CB1300 was first produced in 1998 but has undergone a few revisions over the years. Originally, it was an evolution of the CB1000 Super Four with an engine derived from the X4. The 2005 version with a half-fairing is often called the Super Bol d'Or. There is also a "Super Touring" version - the CB1300ST and a 2018 version that has only been available in Japan so far. Tyre sizes, overall weight and engine power have varied since the original model.
At the heart of most models is a 1284cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine. While models up to 2002 may “only” generate 100 horsepower, from 2003 the engine was upgraded to provide 114 horsepower with 117 Nm of torque, and a top speed of around 149 mph. The overall weight (with a full tank) is around 249 kg (549 lbs) for the original SF models (1998-2002) but models from 2003 were a nimbler 250-260 kg (555-573 lbs) partly because the tyre sizes were reduced. The Super Touring ST is an exception and comes in at 284 kg (626 lbs).
